South units along with City of Williamsport, Duboistown, Loyalsock, SREMS, and South Pd were dispatched to the Dam at 10:59 for individuals in the water and a bystander was concerned for their safety. While crews were responding information was relayed that 3 persons were being pulled away from the shore. South PD arrived as 1 individual was going over the dam. Sgt Summers removed his police gear and jumped in below the dam to make a hands-on rescue. South Williamsport (Chief 5) established command at the Dam on the Riverwalk overlooking the Dam. Two individuals were able to be coached to shore by bystanders and self-rescue. While evaluating the individuals, it was found to be a fourth and unaccounted for. The river boxed was escalated to a full multi county response and a large area of the river and down was searched. This search would go on till 1930 hours and last multiple days.
