Station 5 water rescue teams were deployed to assist Station 20 with a missing kayaker. Car 5, Boat 1-5 and Special Unit 5, Boat 5 responded. Crews arrived to deploy Upstream from the last location of the kayaker and work our way down stream to the incident. Boat 1-5 was deployed and made their way to the incident were a large natural strainer from trees that had fallen into the creek had created a dangerous obstacle. Crews assisted City of Williamsport, Montoursville, Clinton Township Fire Department and many other agencies for several hours attempting to eliminate the strainer where the missing kayaker is feared to still be. This incident will last over the next couple days until found.
