Members were in station working on maintenance and apparatus checks when alerted to the still alarm on Riverside Drive. Station 5 was dispatched to 2086 Riverside Dr for a water issue. Dispatch advised that the home had a broken water pipe in between floors, the ceiling was beginning to drop in on the residence, and the occupant was handicapped and unable to shut the water off. Chief 1-5 (McLaughlin) and Squad 5 responded. Crews shut the water off and the landlord arrived shortly after to make the necessary repairs.
