While crews were in station training on Donning SCBA tonight, a phone call came in requesting help. Homeowner was afraid for her cat as it had escaped yesterday and been stuck in a tree for 24 hours 60 foot up. Address was obtained and determined to be in Loyalsock Township, and after a brief call to Chief 18 to bring him up to speed, Ladder 5 responded over. Ladder 5 arrived and confirmed the cat’s location in the tree, and then got into a position to rescue the cat. Chief 5 was able to bring the cat safely and return to the owners or were very appreciative and thought this only happened in the movies.
