Protecting & Preserving the Community We Live In!

Our department is looking for individuals who are dedicated to protecting and preserving the life and property of all people living, working, or visiting our response areas. We shall accomplish our mission through teaching fire prevention and using fire suppression and/or emergency medical skills as needed. Our members shall strive to maintain the highest levels of education and training and perform in a safe, courteous, and professional manner. Our goal is to establish a strong bond with the community and interact professionally with all other emergency service providers. We have chosen to represent this mission through dedication and integrity.

Who We Are

The South Williamsport Fire Department, Station 5, was formed in May 2016, when former Citizens Fire Company (Station 10) and former First Ward Fire Company (Station 11) participated in a merger. The two departments combined all assets and manpower to provide the best service possible to the citizens of South Williamsport and the surrounding areas. Both former companies brought many years of history and training to the table.

We, as the South Williamsport Fire Department, are pleased to serve the community to the best of our abilities!

South Williamsport is also home to the Little League World Series and welcomes many different nationalities.
