20 MPH straight winds topple a large tree onto the power lines on W Mountain Ave taking out power to roughly 125 customers. PPL was notified and responding. While on scene of the tree down, a homeowner came out notifying the crews that they had an odor of electrical burning in their basement with a strange sound coming from the electrical panel. Crews made entry to investigate and found an up pump in the basement had burned up creating a lite haze in the basement. Homeowners contacted an electrician and crews shut down breakers and the generator as a precautionary measure until the electrician could confirm all equipment and electrical was safe.
