South firemen participated in the second annual Charity Softball Tournament hosted by Freedom Towing of South Williamsport benefitting the South Williamsport Police Department Children’s Christmas Program. This year there were three teams which consisted of South Fire, South PD, and Borough Workers from South and Duboistown. All 3 teams played hard and had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, South Fire fell first in the tournament losing two straight games. One to the maintenance and the other to PD. The championship game was played by South PD (1-1) and Maintenance (2-0). Weather became an issue in the last couple innings, but South PD took the trophy home for the second year with a win over the maintenance team by 1 point. Great job to all and we look forward to next year for a Fire come back!!!
