South just returned from a CO Alarm with illness. Crews arrived to find very high readings of CO throughout the home. Gas was secured immediately and UGI requested. Single occupant homeowner was transported to hospital as protocol. Crews further investigated and found a vehicle had been running inside the attached garage which was determined to be the source. Home was ventilated for an hour bringing the levels back in normal range.
Initial readings in the home were 700 PPM at the front door with highest reading of 1100 PPM in garage and temperatures in the garage reaching 200 degrees.
