City of Williamsport Fire was dispatched to a gas odor inside on the first block of West 4th Street. Upon their arrival they found a working fire in a mixed occupancy three story building. Restaurant on the first floor with apartments on the two floors above. City command struck the second alarm bringing in Montoursville (Ladder20), Old Lycoming (Squad14), and South (Rescue5) to assist. Rescue 5 arrived and was assigned secondary search of division 2 and 3 along with Squad 14 personnel. Crews searched both floors with no findings and returned to the command post for further tasks. No other task were needed and Rescue 5 returned to South. City Fire made very quick work of this kitchen fire and kept to area of origin with smoke removal from th efloors above.
