South was dispatched to 300 block of Kane Street for a gas line struck. Career and Vollies responded with Ladder. Ladder arrived to confirm the dispatch and assist with road closure of Kane Street from W Mountain Ave to W Southern Ave. Chief 44 (Minnier) had the command and requested the Ladder to move up and deploy a line for safety and situational awareness. UGI had to dig up the roadway to secure the broken line. Crews stood by in the ready until line secured. UGI completed their task, and gas was no longer venting freely.
