On July 15th, 2024, South units were dispatched to 800 block of W Southern Avenue for a medical emergency. Crews responded and arrived rather quickly to find a 40-day old twin infant in distress. Crews assisted with this medical emergency along with South Williamsport PD and Susquehanna Regional Emergency Servies (SREMS) to perform lifesaving care and provide this little one with many years to come. We are proud to say that life saving awards were awarded to Chief Trammell and FF/EMT Freas along with South Williamsport Police Department Corporal Grant, SREMS Platoon Chief Kling, Paramedic Karasek, EMT Gilbert, and EMT Hanner at the monthly SREMS Con-Ed training.
